Welcoming a baby is tender, emotional, and often overwhelming - and choosing a photographer can feel like one more decision you don’t have the energy to make.
My approach to newborn and baby photography is intentionally calm, simple, and fully guided. You don’t need to know how to pose, what to wear, or how your baby should behave. I’ll take care of the details so you can stay present with your little one.
I work with a small number of families in Edmonton and surrounding areas who value connection, ease, and imagery that will still feel meaningful as the years pass.

A Guided Newborn & Baby Photography Experience
My sessions are designed to feel unhurried and gentle - never rushed or overly styled.
Whether we photograph your baby in your home or in my studio, I’ll guide you through the entire experience from start to finish. Sessions are led by your baby’s needs and your comfort, with flexibility built in for feeding, soothing, and quiet moments in between.
Unlike sessions that rely on rigid posing or fast-paced workflows, my approach is focused on creating space for connection while still offering clear, reassuring direction - especially helpful for first-time parents.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION
From the moment you inquire, you’ll be supported through a thoughtful, steady process designed to take the pressure off.
Before your session, I’ll help you choose the right timing for your newborn or baby, offer guidance around what to wear, and talk through whether a studio or in-home session feels like the best fit for your family.
During the session itself, I’ll offer gentle direction while moving at a pace led by your baby - allowing time for feeding, soothing, and settling without any sense of urgency.
Afterward, you’ll receive a proofing gallery to select the images that resonate most, followed by careful retouching and the option to invest in both digital files and tangible artwork for your home.
My goal is for you to leave feeling cared for and confident - never rushed or unsure.

While many families book newborn sessions within the first few weeks, I also photograph babies beyond the newborn stage.
These sessions are ideal for:

3–6 month milestones

You don’t need to fit into a specific timeline for your baby
to be beautifully documented.

Within the last few months we had done a maternity and newborn/lifestyle session with Caitlin and she did such an amazing job with both. My husband and I are very awkward and not photogenic at all but Caitlin made the entire experience very comfortable and easy for us. She had come to our home for the newborn session as I had only been one week postpartum, Caitlin made it so effortless and really brought a sense of calmness to our home and was so gentle with our newborn. I absolutely love the style of photography that Caitlin does and I would recommend her to anyone.
